Sandra B. Gabelli, Ph.D.

Principal Investigator


Dr. Gabelli is an Associate Professor of Medicine with join appointments in the departments of  Oncology, Biophysics and Biophysical Chemistry and Art as Applied to Medicine. She is the director of the Eukaryotic Tissue culture Facility and a faculty member of Cellular and Molecular Medicine graduate program.

Dr. Gabelli received her under undergraduate degree in Computer Science at the Universidad Nacional Del Sur, Argentina. She joined the Program in Molecular Biophysics and completed her Ph.D. degree in Biophysics at The Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine as an NSF graduate fellow under the mentoring of Dr. L. M. Amzel.

In 2011 she was recruited by the Division of Cardiology in the Department of Medicine to join the faculty. Her research is aimed at elucidating the molecular mechanism of proteins involved in signaling pathways deregulated in diseases.
